Vertical and square clips for social posts
Feeds are vertical; screens aren’t. Reframe zooms in on what you click, so a wide recording still reads well as a 9:16 or 1:1 clip.
Why Reframe for social clips
Every aspect ratio
Export 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 or 2:1 from the same recording. Switch any time in the editor.
Zooms keep it readable
Close-ups on each click mean small details still read in a narrow frame.
Backgrounds that pop
Wallpapers, gradients, colours or your own image, with blur, padding, rounded corners and shadow.
GIFs too
Export clips of up to 30 seconds as GIFs for places that don’t play video.
How to record social clips with Reframe
- Record your product or feature in a Chrome tab as usual.
- In the editor’s Look tab, set the aspect ratio to 9:16 or 1:1.
- Pick a background and check the zooms frame what matters.
- Cut it down to the best 15–60 seconds.
- Export as MP4 and post it.
Tips
- Zoom in closer (Scale) for vertical clips: there’s less width to work with.
- Hook viewers in the first two seconds by starting on the most interesting click.
- Keep the camera off or small in vertical clips so the product stays the focus.
Questions
Do I need to record in a vertical window?
No. Record as usual; the editor places your recording inside the vertical frame and the zooms keep the action visible.
Which formats can I export?
MP4 (H.264), WebM and, for clips up to 30 seconds, GIF.
