Screen recordings that zoom where you click.
Record a tab, a window or your whole screen. Reframe follows your clicks with smooth zooms, so your demos, tutorials and bug reports look edited before you edit them.
- Nothing uploaded
- No watermark
- Up to full resolution
Features
Everything a good screen recording needs
The parts that usually take an hour in a video editor happen as you record.
Zooms that follow your clicks
Every click becomes a smooth zoom that frames what you clicked, then eases back out. They’re on the timeline the moment you stop recording, ready to tweak.
- Change how close each zoom gets
- Follow the pointer or hold on a point
- Add your own with one key
A pointer nobody loses
Give the recorded page a bigger, coloured cursor, then add click effects and the shortcuts you press in the editor.
- Ripple, ring, double, burst or dot click effects
- A ring while you hold and a trail when you drag
- Shortcuts like Ctrl+K shown on screen
Put a face to it
Record your camera and microphone with the screen. Your camera appears as a bubble you can style and drag anywhere.
- Circle or rounded square, any size
- Border and shadow
- Can shrink while zoomed in, so it never covers the detail
A real editor, made for screen recordings
The editor opens as soon as you stop. Cut mistakes, speed up the slow parts and pick a look, with undo for everything.
- Cut, speed up (0.25×–4×), copy and paste clips
- Wallpapers, gradients, colours or your own image
- Padding, rounded corners and shadow

Sharp files, in every shape
Export straight from your computer in the size and format each place needs. Your recording is kept, so you can export again later.
- MP4, WebM or GIF
- Low, Standard (1080p), HD (1440p) or Max: your screen’s full resolution
- 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3 and more

Your recordings never leave your computer
Most screen recorders upload your videos to their servers. Reframe doesn’t have servers for your videos. Everything is stored in your browser on your own computer, and you choose where to save the final file.

FAQ
Questions
Is Reframe free?
Yes. Recording, editing and exporting are free, with no account, no watermark and no limit on how long you record.
Does it upload my videos?
No. Recordings, edits and exports stay on your computer, and Reframe sends nothing anywhere. It only goes online when you open one of its help pages.
Which browsers and systems does it work on?
Google Chrome 116 or later on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. Other Chromium browsers such as Edge and Brave can install Chrome extensions too.
Do zooms work when I record a window or my whole screen?
Automatic zooms come from your clicks, which Reframe can see in browser tabs. For windows and screens you add zooms yourself in the editor with one key (Z).
Will my videos look sharp?
Yes. Reframe records your screen’s real pixels, even with display scaling on or a Retina screen, and can export at full resolution.
Can I record sound?
Yes. Tab recordings include the tab’s sound, and you can add your microphone to any recording. Adjust the volume or mute it in the editor.
Does it record what I type?
No. Only shortcuts such as Ctrl+C or Enter are noted, so they can be shown on screen. Typed text, passwords and card numbers are never captured.
Where are my recordings saved?
Inside Chrome on your computer, listed under Recordings in the editor. When you export, you choose where to save the video file.
Can I edit a recording later?
Yes. Every recording and its edits are saved automatically. Open it from Recordings, change anything, and export again.
Can I share a link to my video?
Not yet: you get a video file to attach or upload wherever you like. Optional share links are on the roadmap.
