Recording

Editing

Select a clip in the timeline to change its speed (0.25× to 4×), copy it or delete it. Export as MP4, WebM or, for clips up to 30 seconds, a GIF.

The first time you record on a website, Chrome asks whether Reframe may access that site. Choose Allow, and clicks, zooms and the cursor keep working when the recorded tab opens another page there. To allow every site at once, or stop the question, use ⋯ Recording options in the recorder (or the editor's Settings tab).

Troubleshooting

The recorder doesn't appear on a page. Chrome doesn't allow extensions on its own pages (such as chrome:// pages and the Web Store). The recorder opens in its own window there; record a window or your screen instead.
Camera or microphone is blocked. In the recorder, open the Camera or Microphone menu and choose blocked — how to fix. A Reframe tab opens: click the icon at the left end of its address bar and set the camera or microphone to Allow. This works the same in Chrome and Edge. On Windows, also check Settings › Privacy & security › Camera (and Microphone), including Let desktop apps access.
No zooms were added. Automatic zoom uses your clicks, which are captured when you record a browser tab. For window and screen recordings, add zooms yourself with Z.
A recording was interrupted. If Chrome closes or the recorder stops unexpectedly, everything up to that moment is kept. Open it from the Recordings page; it's repaired automatically.
Low disk space. Recordings are stored on your computer until you delete them. Delete old ones from the Recordings page to free space.
