Terms of service

Last updated: 30 October 2026

In short: Reframe is free to use for personal and commercial work, and Pro is an optional one-time purchase. What you record is yours, and it stays on your computer. Use it lawfully, and we can’t be responsible for how recordings are used.

Using Reframe

These terms cover the Reframe browser extension and this website. By installing or using Reframe you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Reframe.

You may use Reframe for personal and commercial purposes. Don’t copy, resell or redistribute the extension itself, or try to remove the protections of any paid feature.

Your recordings

Everything you record, edit and export belongs to you. Reframe stores it on your computer and doesn’t send it to us, so we can’t see it, recover it or delete it for you. Keep copies of anything important. See the privacy policy for exactly what is stored and where.

Recording responsibly

You are responsible for what you record and share. In particular:

Reframe Pro

Reframe Pro is an optional one-time purchase ($39, plus any sales tax or VAT) that unlocks the extra features listed on the pricing page. The free version keeps working without it.

No warranty

Reframe is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can’t promise it will always work without errors, on every computer, or that a recording can never be lost. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from using Reframe, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the past twelve months.

Changes and updates

We may update Reframe and these terms. Chrome installs extension updates automatically. If the terms change in a way that matters, the new version will be published here with a new date.

Trademarks

Chrome and Chrome Web Store are trademarks of Google LLC. Reframe is not made by or affiliated with Google.
