Questions
Is my video uploaded?
No. The GIF is made on your computer, inside this page. Your video never leaves your device.
How do I make the GIF smaller?
Shorten it, lower the width, or use fewer frames per second. GIFs grow quickly with size and length, so 480 pixels wide at 10–12 frames per second is a good start.
Why is there a 30-second limit?
Long GIFs become very large files that load slowly everywhere. For anything longer, share a video instead; most places play MP4.
Which browsers does it work in?
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox. Some formats, such as MOV from an iPhone, only open in browsers that can play them.
Recording your screen?
Reframe is our free Chrome extension: it records a tab, window or screen and zooms in wherever you click, then exports MP4, WebM or GIF. Like this tool, it keeps everything on your computer.
